Stringjoy bass strings are made by a small team in the USA, out of all American materials: top quality nickel alloy, hand wound around a high carbon hexagonal steel wire.

The combination of better materials and more careful craftsmanship creates a more natural-sounding, longer lasting string, without the tone-deadening effects of string coatings.

We're known for our quality control. Our strings are wound in small batches, and we use real human beings at every step of the process: the winding, the coiling, the packing, you name it.

Every string is inspected individually before it goes into your set. If anything is wrong with a string, from the way it's secured around the ball end, through the entire winding, it doesn't make the cut.

Available for 4, 5 and 6-string basses, Bass signatures offer better tuning stability for the life of the string, longer string life and when cared for properly less breakage. In addition, they provide smoother, more balanced playability across the neck of the bass.

Stringjoy Bass Signatures are available for different scales:

- Long scale - have a taper at 37.1" from the ball end, ideal taper-length for all 34" and most non-string-thru 35" scale basses.
- Short Scale - have a taper at 32" from the ball end, ideal taper-length for most 29" and 30" scale basses.
- Medium Scale - have a taper at 34.5" from the ball end, ideal taper-length for most 31" and 32" scale basses.
- Extra Long scale - have a taper at 39.25" from the ball end, ideal taper-length for string-thru 35" scale basses, as well as 36"+ scale basses.
